Man charged over attack in Nuneaton

A man has been charged following an assault in Nuneaton which left a man in hospital.

The victim was reportedly punched to the head, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious, outside a club on Church Street in the early hours of Saturday morning (1 August).

He remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Samuel Stretton, 32, from Bolton was arrested and has been charged with GBH.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Coventry Magistrates on 8 August.
