A man has been charged in connection with a reported rape at Nuneaton railway station.

Billy Ormiston, 36, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates Court today (June 8) charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The charges relate to reports of a rape at Nuneaton railway station on Friday 13 March.

The British Transport Police said officers arrested Billy Ormiston in Plymouth City Centre on the afternoon of Friday 5 June.

Officers also carried out warrants at two residential addresses in Plymouth and a woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and taken into custody.

She was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
