Man charged with attempted murder in Coventry

Police were called to Robin Hood Road on Saturday after reports of a man in his 60s being attacked.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an attack in Coventry last weekend.

Marlon Martin, 34, has been charged after an incident in Robin Hood Road on Saturday night (23 August).

Martin was charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article and was remanded to appear before magistrates Court in Coventry today.

The man was found with serious injuries to his head and neck, though these were later confirmed not to be life-threatening.

West Midlands police are still investigating the attack.
