Man arrested after reports fireworks at been tampered with at Coventry address

A 33-year-old man from Coventry has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

Police received reports that fireworks had been tampered with at an address on St Jude's Crescent yesterday evening (February 5).

To ensure the safety of residents, the Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to the scene.

A cordon was established but has now been lifted.

The arrested man remains in custody for questioning as investigations continue.
