A Warwickshire Police vehicle has been rammed by a driver in Rugby, and made off from the scene.

It happened after plain clothes officers pulled over a black Audi A3 at Elliott's Field retail park, just before 11.30pm on Tuesday last week (22nd April).

The Audi initially stopped in a parking space, but rammed the car when an officer approached showing their ID.

The driver sped away through the car park.

The officer involved wasn't seriously injured.

There's now an appeal for any witnesses, or anyone with information about the vehicle or driver involved, to contact Warwickshire Police.

You can call officers on 101, quoting reference number 23/16916/25.
