Coventry City Head Coach Frank Lampard and forward Ellis Simms have both been honoured with EFL Sky Bet Championship monthly awards for November.

Lampard has been named Manager of the Month following a flawless run where Coventry secured five consecutive wins, scoring 14 goals in the process. This marks the second month in a row he has received the accolade.

Reacting to the award, Lampard expressed gratitude towards his colleagues and players.

“I’m delighted to have won the award," Lampard said.

“As always it is a team effort, and I would like to thank all the players, staff and everyone involved for their continued hard work.

“We have a great togetherness and team spirit here, and we’re all looking forward to the busy Christmas period and continuing our hard work.”

Meanwhile, 24-year-old forward Ellis Simms has been named Player of the Month after scoring five goals across four matches in November, including back-to-back braces in victories against Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic.

Simms shared his excitement over earning the recognition.

“I’m really proud to be named Championship Player of the Month," Simms said.

“This was only possible because of my teammates and the staff pushing standards every day.

“Individual awards come from team performances, and the results we’ve had make this extra special.

“I’ll take the confidence from it and keep giving everything for the club and the fans.”

The Sky Blues have now completed a monthly awards double for the second consecutive month, underlining their strong form in the Championship.
