Performers from across Coventry and Warwickshire will take to the stage this Sunday for a musical showcase celebrating 100 years of dance at Pattison School.

Around 150 performers, aged from two to over 60, will appear in Encore! Broadway and Beyond at the Albany Theatre.

The production will feature songs from popular Broadway and West End musicals, including Frozen, Hamilton, Mary Poppins, Matilda, Sister Act and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

The cast includes pupils from the school and academy, alongside adult dancers from the local community.

The performances follow six months of rehearsals and are expected to be performed to full audiences.

Jessica Moore, Head of Performing Arts at Pattison School, said: “We’re thrilled to have so many different generations performing together, and it is a symbolic reminder of how many different generations this school has influenced over the past 100 years.

“Pattison’s heritage is very much steeped in dance and the performing arts, but over the years has evolved into a fully inclusive school for children of all abilities and interests.

“We’re delighted to be able to give the children the opportunity to perform in such a beautiful theatre setting in the Albany Theatre, for some of whom this will be their first time performing on a stage in front of an audience."
