Coventry City FC announces £15 million partnership with Legends Global
Ambitious plan unveiled to transform Coventry Building Society Arena
Coventry City FC and Coventry Building Society Arena have announced a transformative partnership with Legends Global, with a joint investment exceeding £15 million over the next three years.
This partnership, marked at a defining moment for Coventry City, aims to establish the venue as one of the UK’s premier destinations for sport, music, exhibitions, conferences, and hospitality on a year-round basis.
Legends Global, known for elevating iconic venues globally, will implement extensive renovations funded by the Club, Arena, and themselves, driving this multi-million pound transformation.
The programme will involve revamping culinary experiences, introducing world-class entertainment, and enhancing operational infrastructure to create seamless matchday and event experiences.
Part of the culinary upgrade will feature a collaboration with Simon Rogan’s Umbel Restaurant Group, renowned for holding 10 Michelin stars. Their residency in The Engine Room hospitality lounge aims to bring an unparalleled dining experience to the Arena’s patrons.
Additionally, the partnership extends beyond food and beverage, promising investments in technology and premium spaces to enrich visitor experiences further.
Coventry City’s owner, Doug King, expressed excitement: “Together with Legends Global, we are making a significant investment in the future of this venue and transforming the experience for everyone who comes through its doors.”
Chris Bray, Legends Global’s President, acknowledged the Club’s return to the Premier League and asserted: “It deserves a venue experience that matches the occasion, and that’s exactly what we’re here to deliver."
In the upcoming months, both organisations will collaborate on the mobilisation activity, crafting plans to elevate Coventry Building Society Arena as a leading regional venue.
