Callum Perry signs a new contract to stay at Coventry City

Coventry City defender Callum Perry has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The twenty year old spent the second half of last season on loan at Rochdale, making 25 appearances and scoring in the penalty shootout victory in the National League play-off final at Wembley, helping The Dale secure promotion to the EFL.
Perry, who has come through Coventry's academy featuring for the Under-18s and captaining the Under-21s in the Premier League Cup and has also been named on the substitutes bench for the first team.
He has said he's aiming for a big year ahead: “I’m buzzing to sign a new contract.”
“I’ve been at Coventry for a long time now and I love the people involved in and around the Club so I’m really glad that I’m going to be staying here.
“Last year was really beneficial for me, getting those experiences playing at Wembley and that massive game against York on the last day of the season was huge but being in men’s football and learning the game was really important so I’ve got a lot of people to thank at Rochdale. It’s set me up for what’s hopefully going to be a big year for me.
“I want to come back as fit as possible and be ready to play football again.”
