British Transport Police investigate assault on-board train in Coventry

Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation

The British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man amid their investigations into an assault on board a train in Coventry.

Just before 4pm on 5 April 2025, a man and a teenage boy were returning from a Coventry vs Burnley football game on the train from Coventry Arena railway station to Coventry railway station.

They started to argue, before the man punched the teenager in the face causing him to lose a tooth.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2500040928.
