Man charged with attempted murder after victim hit with car in Blackpool
Another man arrested has been released under investigation
A man from Coventry has been charged with attempted murder after a man was hit by a car in Blackpool.
Officers say the victim, a 28-year-old man, was struck whilst walking on Condor Grove just before 3am on 27 April.
A VW Passat mounted the pavement before striking him.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Niall Reynolds, 23, of Glenmore Drive, Coventry, has now been charged with attempted murder, driving a motor vehicle while above the alcohol limit, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, and two offences of criminal damage.
Another 22-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent who was arrested at the time has been released under investigation.
