Bus operator Arriva has launched a new and improved bus service connecting Coventry and Leicester, expanding their offerings in the Midlands.

The X6 Foxlink service uses refreshed Temsa Safari coaches, offering passengers quick and affordable public travel between the two cities.

The fleet update includes six vehicles that are now PSVAR compliant for enhanced accessibility, with three coaches newly transferred to Leicestershire to boost resources on this route.

Arriva hosted a launch event in Coventry city centre, unveiling an interactive 7-foot-tall map showcasing attractions in both Coventry and Leicester.

Special guests and the public placed magnets on the map during the event held outside the Coventry Transport Museum.

Arriva’s Commercial Director for the Midlands, Toby France, highlighted the service's expanded timetable, with buses departing up to every 30 minutes to better suit customer demand.

France said, “We’re thrilled to be providing a vital link between two of the Midlands’ biggest cities. Our X6 service ensures that students, commuters and tourists have an affordable public transport option for travel.”

The refreshed vehicles have been painted in Arriva Midlands’ new livery at their central works in Derby.
