Woman, in her 40s, seriously injured after being hit by a car in Truro

Police are appealing for witnesses

A pedestrian has sustained with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Truro.

Emergency services were called to Union Hill at 10.40am today (14 May), after a black Citroen DS3 was in collision with a woman.

The woman, who is in her 40s and from Truro was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

Union Hill was closed for several hours while an investigation of the ssene was carried out and the car was recovered but it has since reopened.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
