A 46 year old woman has been arrested by police in Truro on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply - following a raid earlier this month.

It follows community concerns about the address and reports of information about suspected drug dealing, and so police gathered evidence to secure a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

She's been bailed by Devon and Cornwall Police as enquiries continue.

Police Sergeant David Pearce, said: “I hope this sends a message to our communities that we’re listening to your concerns, acting on your reports and taking robust action against drug supply in our city.

“We will continue to conduct thorough investigations and take proactive action like this to make Truro a hostile place for people looking to commit crime.

“Your reports are vital in our investigations, they help to secure warrants, target our patrols and gather further evidence to put offenders before the courts. We’re listening, so please continue to come forward and report what you know.”

The warrant was led by the pro-active unit and the Truro neighbourhood police team, supported by the Force Support Group.
