Wildfire in Cornwall prompts nearly 60 emergency calls

A wildfire has been reported in Carnmarth near Lanner, with nearly 60 calls received by emergency services since the first report at 07:10 this morning (12 August).

Four fire appliances and an officer have been dispatched to address the blaze.

Authorities have noted that smoke is visible throughout the area, especially in Lanner and Redruth.

Drivers passing through these zones have been advised to exercise caution.
