Police have seized a quantity of heroin and methadone, and arrested two people, following an operation in Camborne.

Two people, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs following the discovery at a property on Thursday (26 February).

They have been released on bail while enquiries are ongoing.

Police Inspector Lou Brown, who heads up the neighbourhood police team in Camborne, said: “The negative impact of drugs can be far reaching in our communities, so it’s positive that we’ve been able to take these substances off the streets of Camborne.

“This activity forms part of our ongoing commitment to tackle drug related crime in the town.

Insp Brown added: “I’d like to urge anyone who has any information about illegal activity to report it directly to the police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

“The more you tell us about crime happening on your streets, the more arrests and targeted operations we can plan to tackle it, as well as safeguard vulnerable people who are impacted by crime. Thank you.”
