Two men charged after alleged violent disorder in Truro
It happened on Monday
Two men have been charged, in connection to an alleged incident in Truro city centre, on Monday 24 August.
Officers attended Calenick Street at 1.45pm, after a report of a violent disturbance, involving numerous individuals.
Sinjar Zurel, 27, and Seyin Zurel, 24, both of the Malpas area of Truro, have been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Sinjar Zurel has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
They have been remanded in custody to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 26 August).
Police are reminding the public that legal proceedings are active and any sharing of footage online risks jeopardising an ongoing investigation.
One man was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries. His injuries have since been deemed not life-threatening, nor life-changing.
