Town Deal Enterprise Grants in St Ives have been playing a key role in supporting local businesses and organisations.

The scheme launched in 2022 - helping to improve shopfronts, create new workspaces and renovate derelict buildings - as well as expand and diversify companies.

Its aim is to boost the local economy and support sustainable regeneration.

“From the very start of the Town Deal process we have been committed to ensuring that the funding benefits the local community in St Ives and that includes local businesses and entrepreneurs “ said Andrew Baragwanath, Chair of the St Ives Town Deal Board.

Three highly successful rounds of the scheme have seen over £2 million allocated to local projects, which have committed to deliver more than 70 jobs.

To date 68 projects have been approved and their contracts issued, with 22 of these projects now complete. A further 18 projects from Round 3 are currently going through the final decision stages with outcomes expected shortly.

Grants have been awarded to projects from a wide range of sectors, with funding ranging from £2,636 for the smallest to £150,000 to the largest.
