A fundraiser - which has been set up after a football pitch in Cornwall suffered 'unbelievable' damage - has raised more than £5000 for repairs.
Organisers say Ludgvan Lions Junior Football Club has worked hard to keep the club growing and the incident caused 'great distress.'
They're thanking those who've donated for their support, adding 'your generosity has blown the club away'.
Those behind the fundraiser said: "First we like to thank everyone, for the support given to the club during this very upsetting time.
"As you are aware the pitch and grounds have been sadly damaged by a group of unwanted visitors who took up camp on the football pitches.
"The damage they caused is unbelievable and as a local community club that has worked hard to keep the club growing and developing, allowing more children each season to play football and be part of a team and club, this has really caused great distress to all involved at the Club, plus the local community.
"We have been lucky that such amazing people have offered they time, support and help to fix, mend, clean up and secure the grounds, but this all comes at a cost, which means without extra funds the club can not afford to put the pitch back to a playable state, we would very much appreciate any help,
Anything anyone could give to the club, whether its your time, skills or a few pounds to help us.
"Once again thank you to everyone for your help during this time."
Devon and Cornwall Police told us: "We were made aware following a report of criminal damage to a sports field at Ludgvan Community Centre, reported to us on 17 April.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
