Teenager seriously injured in Redruth collision

Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision near Redruth and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called at 7.20pm on Monday 13 April, to a collision on the old A30 at Blackwater near Redruth, which involved a Peugeot 207 and an e-bike.

The rider of the bike, a boy in his early teens, was taken to hospital with serious injuries which have been described as potentially life changing.

No other injuries were reported.

Police and ambulance attended the scene and the road was closed while an investigation took place. It re-opened around 9.05pm.
