Body found during search for missing Newquay fisherman

Devon and Cornwall Police say a body has been found during the search for a missing fisherman in the Porth area of Newquay.

An appeal was launched by police to find 65 year old Gregory who was last seen at around 8am on Tuesday 16 September when he left home to go fishing at Porth Beach. He was travelling on foot.

Police have now issued an update that a body has now been found during searches this morning.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of Gregory, 65, have been informed of this development.
