More than £17,000 has been raised to make much needed improvements to a storm battered National Coastwatch Institution Lookout in Cornwall.

Last February, the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) Lookout at St. Agnes Head hadbeen battered and bruised by storm after storm and was barely able to function. Both their wind turbine and solar panels needed to be replaced.

The fundraising appeal received a generous response with over £17,000 being raised, and a successful application to Cornwall Council for a grant from the Cornwall Council Prosperity Fund.

A refurbishment programme has been completed restoring the Lookout to full operational capacity.

A Rededication Ceremony takes place at the Lookout on Monday 26th May to celebrate the achievement.
