Police officer hospitalised after being exposed to unknown substance

A police officer has been hospitalised after being exposed to an unknown substance in Cornwall.
Penzance Police Station was also evacuated yesterday as a result, but has since reopened.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police told us: "Penzance Police Station was evacuated today, Wednesday 30 July, following reports of a police officer becoming unwell as a result of exposure to an unknown substance.
"The ambulance and fire services attended.
"The building was evacuated while emergency services dealt with the scene.
"The officer was taken to hospital for treatment.
"A concern for welfare was raised for a woman who had been present. She was later located and found not have been affected.
"Following an assessment, the station has been reopened.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstance of the incident."
