Police appeal after man taken to hospital after assault

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault near St Austell.

The incident took place at Crinnis Beach, Carlyon Bay, between 5.45pm and 6.30pm on Friday.

A man had been approached and verbally abused before being struck and kicked to the head repeatedly by two teenage suspects.

The victim was taken to hospital after losing consciousness, but his injuries are not life-changing or life-threatening.
