Pedestrian suffers life threatening injuries after Penzance collision

A man in his 80s is being treated in hospital after suffering life threatening injuries in a collision in Penzance.

Emergency services were called to Market Jew Street yesterday evening (Sunday 26th October).

In a statement Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called at around 1847hrs on Sunday 26th October 2025 to reports of a Road traffic collision involving a Black ford Focus car and a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian a local male in his eighties sustained life threatening injuries and is currently in hospital. The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their investigation.

"Anyone with any relevant information and dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation is asked contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 622 of 26th October 2025."
