Maintenance work to affect traffic from this week
Last updated 7th Sep 2026
Cornwall Council has announced overnight closures on the A394 between Longrock and Treliever starting today (7th September).
Routine highway maintenance by Cormac will include minor repairs, gully emptying, sign cleaning, and verge and hedge trimming.
The work is scheduled from 7pm to 6am to minimise traffic disruption.
The closures will occur in phases as follows:
From 7th to 10th September, the road between Penzance and Ashton will be closed.
Next, from 14th to 20th September, the section from Ashton to Helston will undergo maintenance.
Following that, the closure will extend from Helston to Rame from 21st to 24th September.
Finally, from 28th September to 1st October, the road from Rame to Falmouth will be inaccessible.
Bus services will have access through the closures and will travel cautiously to ensure safety in the work areas.
These dates could change due to weather conditions, with updates posted on advance notice boards at the sites.
