A new discount card scheme has been launched in Cornwall to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.

Its called Access4ALL and has been developed by the Cornwall council's Family Information Service (FIS) to offer exclusive discounts at Cornish venues.

Some of the businesses already signed up include Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery, Falmouth Flapjackery and Rowes Cornish Bakers.

On the card is a design by 10-year old school pupil Logan Baker who won a competition by the FIS team to draw a picture promoting inclusivity.

Cllr Hilary Frank, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Schools, said:

“The Access4ALL card gives eligible families access to exclusive discounts and priority offers helping to make everyday life more affordable and inclusive.

“It is a fantastic scheme, reinforcing our commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND and their families across Cornwall.”

Cornwall council say anyone can apply for an Acces4ALL card if your child or young person:

  • Is aged 0-25
  • Lives in Cornwall, and
  • Has a special educational need or disability
