A man's been rescued, from the coast at Droskyn, Perranporth.

St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team was called yesterday, alongside Newquay Coastguard, to reports of a person stranded on an isolated rocky outcrop, along the coastline.

Due to the difficult location and challenging access, teams were unable to safely reach the casualty and assistance was requested from Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 387, based at St Athan.

The helicopter crew successfully winched the casualty to safety, before transporting him to Perranporth Rugby Club, where the team had established a helicopter landing site (HLS) ready for their arrival. It's thanking the Club.

The casualty was safe and well.

Remember, if you see someone in difficulty along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
