Man seriously injured after crane incident at Penzance docks

A man's been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after an incident involving a crane at Penzance Docks.
Emergency services were called to the site just before 10am.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended. The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the incident.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: " We were called to Penzance Dry Dock shortly before 10am on Thursday 13 February following a report of an incident involving a crane.
"One man has been airlifted to hospital with a serious injury.
"The Health and Safety Executive have been informed."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09:51hrs on Thursday 13 February to an incident in Penzance. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene. We conveyed one patient by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital.”
A HSE spokesperson said: “We have been made aware of this incident and our inspectors will be at the site on Friday (14 February).”
