Man dies and woman injured after three-car crash in Looe

Collision involved a Volvo, Toyota, and Kia on the A387

An 81-year-old man has died following a collision involving three vehicles in Looe.

The incident took place on the A387 near St. Martins Road on Friday 12th June just before 10:30am.

Emergency services were called to the scene, where they found a blue Volvo V70, a Toyota Estima, and a Kia Rio involved in the crash.

The Volvo driver, an 81-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin have been informed.

A woman traveling in the Toyota sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital, though her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The area was attended by police, fire, and ambulance services, with the road closed for several hours while officers carried out a thorough investigation.

The Roads Policing Team from Devon and Cornwall police are seeking witnesses and urge anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the police and reference log number 200 of the 12th June 2026.
