Man charged after alleged corrosive substance attack near Truro

A man has been charged following an alleged incident involving a corrosive substance near Truro last week.

Ruel Johnson-Rosedom, 22, from London, has been charged with two counts of throwing/casting a corrosive fluid with intent to burn/maim/disfigure/do grievous bodily harm against two local women.

The alleged incident took place in Blackwater on the evening of Monday 15 December.

He has also been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Police say the two reported victims in the case did not suffer any life-changing injuries.

Johnson-Rosedom appeared before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court last week and was granted court bail.

He is next due to appear at Truro Crown Court on January 16.
