St Agnes Surgery has announced that its operations have been disrupted following a lightning strike that occurred last night.

The incident has affected the surgery's phone and Internet services, causing patient appointments to be redirected.

Patients scheduled to see Dr Aldridge or Dr Bellis this morning will now need to visit the branch site in Mount Hawke. Despite the disruption, Dr White will continue to see patients at St Agnes Surgery, alongside the nursing team.

Due to limited access to patient records, there might be instances where clinicians feel unable to safely manage appointments. In such cases, patients may be asked to reschedule their visits.

The surgery said, "Our teams are working hard to ensure we can continue to see patients but please be kind as we are working under immense pressure. Thank you for your support."

The doctors affected by the incident include Drs Whitworth, White, Verma, Wesson, and Mitchell. Patients are advised to be patient and understanding while the surgery works to restore full services.
