Irish singer-songwriter CMAT will close this year's Eden Sessions on 15 July.

The announcement by the Eden Project today (February 9th) comes amidst CMAT's recent BRIT Award nomination for Best International Artist.

CMAT, whose real name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, has distinguished herself with emotionally candid songwriting and a unique sound that blends pop, country, and indie influences.

Her debut album If My Wife New I’d Be Dead earned the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, and its successor, Crazymad, For Me, received critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination.

The Eden Sessions performance is part of CMAT's international tour promoting her latest album, EURO-COUNTRY and her show will conclude a significant year for Eden as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Simon Townsend, Eden Sessions director, said: “CMAT is an extraordinary songwriter and a captivating live performer.

"Her honesty, humour and originality resonate deeply with audiences, and we’re delighted to welcome her to the Eden Sessions this summer.”
