Forward Billy Young re-signs with the Cornish Pirates
Young joined the Pirates in the summer of 2023
Forward Billy Young has re-signed with the Cornish Pirates ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
Young who joined the Pirates in the summer of 2023 after the demise of championship club the Jersey Reds.
He has made 57 appearance for the club so far, including run of 53 consecutive matches.
In a statement Joint Head Coach Alan Paver said: “We’re really pleased to keep Billy – he’s a real pillar of our scrum and student of the game. He’s really developed since arriving and he’s a formidable guy. He’s worked extremely hard on his collision, especially in the carry. He’s a great addition for next season which allows us continuity in the scrum.”
Billy added “We are building something really special here so I’m excited to have another season with the club.”
