Firefighters tackle wildfire on Bodmin Moor

Firefighters have tackled a wildfire in the Bolventor area of Bodmin Moor.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said they received multiple calls about the fire at around 11:40am this morning (March 18).

A drone was used to monitor the fire's progress and crews are used beaters where required to stop escalation

At around 15:10pm this afternoon the fire service said the wildfire has spread further and measured around 800 metres by 300 metres, with a 60 metre fire front.

The fire was confirmed to be out by 5pm.
