Fire breaks out in Coventry city centre

A fire has broken out in Coventry city centre overnight.

West Midlands Fire Service says it has six crews in attendance at the blaze involving a building on Tower Street.

The road's closed and people living nearby are being urged to keep windows and doors closed.

In an update to the incident in the early hours of this morning (24/2), bosses said on social media: "We currently have six crews and a hydraulic platform in attendance.

"Tower Street is currently closed and we advise that if you live or work nearby to close doors and windows."
