E-scooter rider seriously hurt in Falmouth crash as police appeal for witnesses

A man has been seriously injured after a crash involving an electric scooter in Falmouth.
Police were called at around 11.15pm on Monday 24th August to reports of a collision on Penmere Hill.
The rider of the e-scooter, a local man in his 40s, was seriously hurt and airlifted to hospital for treatment.
Road closed overnight
Penmere Hill was closed following the crash and reopened just before 6am this morning, Tuesday 25th August.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team thanked the public for their patience while the road was shut.
Appeal for information
Police said the crash involved a "Beryl" electric scooter.
