Dog attack in Hayle leaves woman with serious leg injury
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police are appealing for witnesses as they investigate a report of woman being attacked by a dog in Hayle.
The incident took place on Sunday 24th of April at 3.20pm when the woman was walking her own dog along a footpath by the play park near Hayle Recreational Ground.
The woman, who is 81-years-old and local to the area, was taken to hospital. She has since been released but is still receiving medical treatment for her injury.
It was reported the dog involved in the attack was on a lead at the time. The dog was described as a Labrador type of breed and was light beige/ golden in colour.
The dog's owner is described as a woman in her late 30s to early 40s. She is of slim build with short hair.
