Crews fight fire which spread to property roof near Liskeard

Crews have been fighting a fire at a property near Liskeard.

It broke out in Duloe yesterday afternoon (9 June).

The blaze was in an upstairs room and had spread to the roof - but the fire service is yet to determine the cause of the incident.

In their latest statement, crews said: "At 16:53 a call was received to a property reported as on fire. Crews from Liskeard and Callington were mobilise to the incident.

"Multiple 999 calls were received to the fire, on arrival of the Fire service a request for 'Make Pumps Four' was made.

"Two further appliances from Bodmin and Saltash were mobilised to scene along with n Aerial ladder platform and supporting pump from Crownhill.

"The property was of two storeys and measured circa 8 x 5 metres. The fire was located in an upstairs room and spread to the roof.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet to fight the fire.

"There are no more details available on this incident at this time."
