Pensioner in critical condition following serious collision in Penryn

A 23-year-old man from Falmouth, a 24-year-old man from Penryn and a 16-year-old boy also from Penryn have been arrested in connection with the incident

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Penryn, Cornwall.

Officers were notified at around 6.50pm yesterday evening, Saturday 21 June, to reports of a collision involving an electrically powered motorcycle and a female pedestrian on West Street.

The woman, who is in her 80s, was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition. Her next of kin have been informed.

A 23-year-old man from Falmouth, a 24-year-old man from Penryn and a 16-year-old boy also from Penryn have been arrested in connection with the incident and are in police custody.

Police are still seeking witnesses and want to hear from anyone who has information about the incident. Please contact police via the Force website or telephone 101, quoting log 785 of the 21st of June 2025.
