A Cornish artist with cerebral palsy is hosting an exhibition to shine a light on disabilities.

27-year-old Michael Mules, from Penzance, has the condition which affects his arm, legs and sight, and hopes his artwork will offer a glimpse into his world.

The exhibition takes place at Penwith Framing Academy in Penzance from today (Saturday 5 April) until 17 April.

He said: "I hope to give a glimpse of hope really to other disabled people that they can achieve their goals."

"One of my dreams has always been to be a part of the exhibition. It's something I never thought I'd be able to achieve. To be given the chance is something that is truly incredible for me."

A percentage of the profits will go to Active8, a Cornish disability youth charity.

Michael Knight, another artist supporting Mr Mules, said: "For people to realise that whoever you are in your community, whatever things you think will hold you back, with the right opportunity and the right assistance, anything is possible."
