Two women have been charged in relation to a case involving the discovery of a man's body in Helston back in December 2024.

The police made enquiries in the Helston area at Helston Business Park in the early hours of Wednesday 18th December 2024, after concerns for welfare had been reported.

Upon investigation, officers found a man in his 60s from the Avon and Somerset area deceased in a vehicle.

Dinah Manders, 88, from Weirfield Road, Exeter, and Rosemary Manders, 53, from Upton Lane, Ilminster, were initially arrested on suspicion of murder, wilful neglect of a person without mental capacity, and preventing a lawful burial.

They have now been charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body.

No further action will be taken against them regarding the accusations of murder or wilful neglect.

Dinah and Rosemary Manders have been granted bail and are scheduled to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 26th March.
