A man has been arrested after police seized suspected class A, B and C drugs at a property in Bodmin.

Officers carried out a warrant on Tuesday (24 February) and uncovered a significant amount of suspected cocaine, MDMA, diazepam and cannabis.

Cash, weapons and drug paraphernalia were also found during the search.

A man, aged 38, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug, possession of a class B drug, and possession with intent to supply a class C drug.

He has been released on police bail whilst the investigation is ongoing.

Police Inspector Adam Stonehill, who leads the Bodmin Neighbourhood Team, said: “Drugs can cause so much harm in our communities, and are integrally linked to a wide range of criminality. This is a great disruption being able to remove these illegal substances and weapons from the streets.

“I hope this shows that we are taking a robust approach against drug crime in the town."

Insp Stonehill added: “Operations such as these rely on intelligence provided by our communities. I actively encourage anyone who has any information about suspected drug dealing in Bodmin to please report it to the police, or anonymously to Crimestoppers.

“No matter how small you may think your information is, it might just be the bit of evidence we need to secure a warrant and make arrests.”
