Police appeal after teenager sexually assaulted in Launceston alleyway
Officers are asking for witnesses to come forward
Devon and Cornwall Police say a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown man in an alleyway near Launceston College on 25th January.
Officers were called around 9.20pm after the assault was interrupted by a dog walker, leading the victim to escape.
Patrols and a police helicopter were immediately deployed.
Following enquiries, a man in his 30s was arrested nearby on suspicion of sexual assault.
He remains in police custody.
