Devon and Cornwall Police say they are turning to the public for assistance identifying a man following an attempted robbery in Illogan.

They add that at around 9.45pm on Friday 6 June, a male suspect entered Morrisons Daily on Robartes Terrace.

He threatened a staff member with a knife and demanded alcohol, but left the store empty handed when his demands were refused.

It is believed the man pictured may be able to help officers with their enquiries.
