Another gorse fire treated as arson on Bodmin Moor

Just days after a gorse fire in Goonhilly, investigations are now underway after another suspected arson here in the duchy.

Arson is suspected after a gorse fire broke out on Bodmin Moor.

Crews were called to the Dozmary Pool area last night (19 March) - and found around 100 metres of gorse alight.

The fire service yesterday confirmed: "Crews from Bodmin are in attendance at a Gorse fire at the Dozmary Pool area of Bodmin Moor.

"This is 100m of Gorse alight, and crews are using beaters and 1 HR jet to extinguish. Arson is suspected."
