18-year-old woman sustains life changing injuries after collision near St Ives
A man from Penzance has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous and drink driving
A woman has sustained life changing injuries after a collision near St Ives.
Emergency services were called to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Mill Holl, Lelant, near St Ives at around 1:15am on Thursday (2 July).
An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life changing injuries and two other people sustained minor injuries.
Mill Hill was closed while officers carried out a through investigation.
An 18-year-old man from Penzance has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving.
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police's roads policing team are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
