Woman seriously hurt in collision near St Neots

It involved a lorry and a car - and a man's been arrested over it

A 61 year old woman's been seriously hurt in a crash near to St Neots.

She was driving a car that was in collision with a lorry on the B645 between Hail Weston and Staughton Highway at around 11am yesterday (Tuesday 9 December).

She's being treated for serious injuries at Peterborough City Hospital.

A man aged 51 from the Czech Republic has been arrested by Cambridgeshire Police on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, he remains in custody.

Sergeant Claire Marland said, "I am appealing to anyone who saw the yellow lorry before the collision or has dashcam of it travelling from St Neots towards Staughton Highway to get in touch with us."
