A woman has been left fighting for her life in hospital after a collision in Ely last night (14 April).

The woman, in her 30s, was driving a black Vauxhall Astra on Queen Adelaide Way just before the railway bridge at 11.24pm when she collided with a roadworks taper, a bollard and then a white Iveco van.

She was cut from her car by firefighters and taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she remains in a critical condition.

There was no-one else injured.

An investigation has been launched and officers are appealing for anyone with any information, including dashcam footage, to come forward.
