Woman dies in crash in South Cambridgeshire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was killed in a collision in a South Cambridgeshire village.

The woman, who is in her 80s and from Duxford, was driving a blue Volkswagen Polo that was in collision with a grey Mercedes GLC in Frogge Street, Ickleton, at just before 12pm yesterday.

Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man, woman and a girl in the Mercedes suffered minor injuries.

Officers are appealing for information and dashcam footage from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.
